Ashley Zumwalt-Forbes is an engineer and commodities executive focused on critical minerals, energy security, and capital formation.
She is COO and a Director of Evolution Global Acquisition Corp and M Evo Global Acquisition Corp II, two Nasdaq-listed vehicles targeting investments across the energy and industrial supply chain.
She is also Principal of Smoketree Resources, a critical minerals-focused family office, and a Non-Resident Fellow at Rice University’s Baker Institute Center for Energy Studies.
Previously, she served as the US Deputy Director for Batteries and Critical Materials at Department of Energy, overseeing the deployment of approximately $6B in non-dilutive equity and $10B in tax credits into the domestic battery supply chain.
She co-founded Black Mountain Metals and Black Mountain Exploration and was a co-founder and senior advisor to Metals Acquisition Corp. She holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
